Who does CYP serve?

CYP serves Roanoke City Public School students in grades 3–12 who are facing adversity and would benefit from additional academic support, enrichment, and mentorship.

Is there a cost to attend CYP?

No. CYP is a registered nonprofit program and there is no cost for students to participate.

Where is CYP located?

CYP is housed at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Roanoke. While located in the church, CYP is an independent nonprofit organization and is not affiliated with any religion.

Does CYP provide transportation?

CYP coordinates with Roanoke City Public Schools Transportation to provide bus drop-off for students. When bus service to CYP is unavailable, our Program Assistant, Chloe, uses the CYP van to pick up students directly from their schools.

How long can students stay in the program?

Many students participate in CYP for multiple years. Our programs are designed to support students long-term as they grow and progress through school.
